EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING
Schools are institutions that prepare students for the real world and its numerous challenges. The traditional learning scenario helps students understand, comprehend and gain knowledge. Experiential learning gives them the opportunity to apply the acquired knowledge in real life situations, analyze the process and experience greater gratification.
FIELD TRIPS & STUDY TOURS
Classrooms are established and highly recommended areas for knowledge acquisition,
yet a shift in the scene from time to time has brought commendable results. In this regard study tours, excursions and
field trips have proven to be effective means to incorporate and enhance soft skills such as communication,
problem solving and critical thinking. It also exposes students to different cultural experiences, enables
them to contextualize concepts and above all gives them memorable moments to treasure and cherish.
Field trips at RIMS falls under four main categories- Entertainment, Historic, Social and Industrial.
Students from Montessori to grade 12 are taken on at least three planned and scheduled field trips every year.
The study tours are usually one day trips for Montessori to grade 7. Grades 8 to 10 are taken on a three to five-day trip.
The students of senior secondary get a ten-day trip.
